12 Months with Puppies

The final photo shoot in the monthly series.  We will revisit on occasion over the next few years.  Ruslan was in a wild mood after daycare and Wyatt was very sad.  So we got a good Ruslan picture and then after dinner had to try again with Wyatt.  They look so grown up in their polo shirts and khakis.

Most of the pictures of Ruslan look like this - Hey look, there's a ceiling fan.

Juliana wanted in on the fun and there were two wild children in the chair.

And Wyatt stopped crying long enough to sit with them very briefly.

11 Months with Puppies

Usually I get the best results from Wyatt, he is normally quick to smile and be silly.  He is sick this weekend -watery eyes, continual snot, and all around miserable (I am really hoping no ear infection).  Ruslan is starting to get the same symptons so we are wiping lots of noses and snuggling away tears.

I think this is one of the best puppy pictures from Ruslan this year - he is smiling and looking at me!

Then he had to slouch for a few minutes and be serious.

Wyatt was very sad - the Princess snow globe quieted his tears for a few minutes.

At some point they decided to both start clapping.

And then Wyatt had to do his favorite thing - pull Ruslan's ear.  And then Ruslan's ear and his own as well.

10 Months with Puppies

Let's sub-title the pictures for this month: When the boys learned they can escape and there are way more exciting things to do than look at the camera.

Wyatt had some very brief cooperative moments when he was alone in the chair.

This is his "stop making me sit back in the chair, I want to dive head-first on to the floor" expression.

He decided to lick the stuffed animal and was not thrilled with the taste.  However that didn't stop him from trying again.

Ruslan had no interest in looking at me or smiling. 

The ceiling fan, even turned off, is way more exciting than mommy and the camera.

This is my favorite one.  I am singing and he is dancing back and forth - I love his head tip and straight smile when he "dances".

Wyatt spent most of the time trying to escape from the chair.

Eventually Ruslan got tired of chasing after him.

7 Months with Puppies

We took the pictures late this month.  After a full week of Juliana being sick followed by a week of me being very sick, we are happy that the boys are healthy.  They also got the H1N1 vaccine so they should stay clear of the ick that went through the rest of the family.

During the photo shoot this month, Ruslan was captivated by the ceiling fan and directed his attention there instead of the camera.  Except when he was busy getting his toes, throwing the dog and diving forward....we are lucky that we have any picture at all.

6 Months with Puppies

Here they are.  No picture with Juliana this month, she wasn't home.  Wyatt isn't that much taller than Ruslan, he was just sitting nice and tall and Ruslan kept sliding down in the chair.

5 Months with Puppies

The boys were in a good mood for pictures this month and gave me lots of good options.  Juliana was not quite as cooperative - generally all 3 of them were looking in different directions for each picture.  The Christmas picture with just Juliana is always a challenge...getting nervous about capturing a good image with all 3.
